This soup is bursting with flavor. Vegan chicken is combined with herbs and spices, combined with carrots, onions and zucchini for one amazing soup. Toss it in a pot, heat it up, let the flavors infuse and enjoy! This soup is wonderful chunky or extra smooth and creamy. I love the dill! Delicious both ways!
Step into the kitchen with me and make hot chocolate! This time of year there is nothing like a hot chocolate, especially when it is adorned with vegan whip cream and more chocolate. You can even double this recipe, make it in advance, store it in your fridge and heat one up whenever you'd like or for guests. Enjoy!
Creamy, fluffy, melt in your mouth whip cream! This is made with only 3 ingredients, comes together in a flash and tastes amazing. I love it on top of sweets or my hot chocolate. Dip your strawberries in it, use it as frosting, in recipes and anywhere you'd like. Shoutout to Jazzy for your request, thank you!
This week I have a request from my dad, Ernie Larson! It's his birthday Monday November 11, join me in wishing him a happy birthday! He requested his favorite pie, Pecan Pie, with my twist on it. So here it is. Fully of ooey, gooey sticky filling with pecans to boot. I went a little pecan crazy so have reduced the amount of pecans in the recipe so it'll be just right for you. :) This recipe reflects a standard 9" pie but if you want to make the cutsie mini cast iron skillet version I have the measurements in the notes of the recipe. Let's get baking! Make it with me on YouTube/FaceBook or read about it below. Happy Birthday Dad! Thanks for being the best dad and our weekly calls!
All my love, Christa
My mom, Johanna Larson, makes the most amazing pies. Around the holidays we'd get to choose our favorite dessert and she would make the pies. I remember my mom and dad waking up early to make the homemade pie crust for the quiche and other desserts. This is her go-to recipe. I told her I used it today and she recited the recipe to me by heart, that's how much she uses it. This is a great crust that is versatile, can be made and baked right away so you don't even have to refrigerate for hours and it's still darn good. Get the family recipe below, plus find tons of useful "mom" tips, thanks mom!!!
