Makes: 4 Servings | Prep: 15 Minutes | Cook: 60+ Minutes

Ingredients:
  • 2 Large Onions – Diced Fine
  • 4-5 Cloves of Garlic – Minced
  • ¼” Knob Ginger – Minced
  • 1 Jalapeno or Chiles to taste – Minced
  • 2 Star of Anise, Whole
  • 5 Cloves, Whole
  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks, Whole
  • 2 Cups Freshly Chopped Tomatoes
  • 1 Can Tomatoes (or more fresh)
  • 3 ½ Tsp Garam Masala
  • 3 Tsp Ground Cumin
  • 3 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 3 Bay Leaves
  • Fresh Lemon or Lime
  • Fresh Cilantro
  • Oil or Vegetable Broth/Water
  • Add any extra vegetables you'd like:
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper
  • 1 Sweet Potato
  • 4 Cups Spinach

Peaceful Preparation:
  1. Finely dice the onion. Add the ginger, garlic and jalapeno or chiles to a food processor and create a paste. Alternatively, mince first and use a mortar and pestle to create a paste.
  2. Heat the Oil or Vegetable Broth/Water in a pan. Add the cloves, star of anise, bay leaves and cinnamon. Once they crackle, add the onions. Cook on a low heat, stirring occasionally. Let them become golden brown.
  3. Add the chili, garlic, ginger paste and stir around. Add any extra vegetables you’d like (I added 1 red bell pepper, stirred and cooked a few minutes, plus a sweet potato and tons of spinach.)
  4. Add the tomatoes, then spices – garam masala, cumin, turmeric powder and stir between each spice.
  5. Cover and simmer on low for a minimum of 30 minutes, up to 90 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Once done, remove the cinnamon, star of anise and as much cloves as you can, the bay leaves and top with freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice and cilantro. Serve with rice and/or naan. Enjoy each bite!

Rinde: 4 porciones | Preparación: 15 minutos | Cocinando: más de 60 minutos

Ingredientes:
  • 2 cebollas grandes - picadas finas
  • 4-5 dientes de ajo - picados
  • Perilla de ¼ "de jengibre - picada
  • 1 jalapeño o chiles al gusto - Picados
  • 2 estrellas de anís, entero
  • 5 dientes - clavo, enteros
  • 2 palitos de canela enteros
  • 2 tazas de tomates recién picados
  • 1 lata de tomates (o)
  • 3 ½ cucharaditas de Garam Masala
  • 3 cucharaditas de comino molido
  • 3 cucharaditas de polvo de cúrcuma
  • 3 hojas de laurel
  • Limón o lima fresca
  • Cilantro fresco
  • Aceite o caldo de verduras / agua
  • Agregue las verduras adicionales que desee:
  • 1 Pimiento Rojo
  • 1 Una Batata
  • 4 Tazas de Espinacas

Preparación pacífica
Cocine a fuego lento, revolviendo ocasionalmente. Deja que se vuelvan dorados.
