GO Vegan!

Eating plant based foods can restore your physical body within a matter of months and in turn lead to spiritual growth. Eating pure living food is one of the easiest ways to nourish, cleanse and energize your body! Originally I didn’t start out for the animals, but as the years go on, my compassion only grows. I see the sentience in animals, even birds. I’ve become more sensitive to meat and dairy, even in food pictures. It no longer appeals to me, and I am so thankful for that.
Picture
The abundance of food and options is what really tickles me. I’m constantly learning new things in the kitchen from vegan cheeses, milks, butters and so much more. Raw vegan food has really helped us take our creativity and energy to a whole new level! I made a cheese today that had heart healthy ingredients with digestion cleansers instead of clogging our arteries or giving us bad cholesterol. I love it!

Go Vegan Today! Here are some reasons:
  • For your health – Heart disease, cancer prevention and much more!
  • To save healthcare costs
  • Anti-aging, potential to repair DNA damage
  • Healthy digestion
  • Restore alkalinity
  • Control weight
  • Nutrition
  • Detox and Cleanse constantly
  • Healthy Bones
  • Insulin, blood pressure, cholesterol and inflammation health + again, much more!
  • For the PLANET! For Mother Earth!
  • For your FAMILY!
  • For YOURSELF! We’d like you to stick around, ya here!
  • For the CRITTERS!!!! Stop the animal abuse! Love is the way!
  • Read more here! http://nutritionfacts.org/topics/plant-based-diets/

I got asked today (again) “what about protein?” on a recent posting. I looked up the protein content of that meal and it was 31 grams for a smoothie, oil free fries and guacamole! Not bad! That was only one meal. I also recommended watching the Forks Over Knives movie as it explains how we don’t need as much protein as we are trained to believe we do. My husband and I maintain strong physiques as well as many other vegans. The benefits outweigh the desire for meat and dairy in my opinion. Although, this is my opinion after being vegan for 5 years now! I recommend trying a plant based lifestyle TODAY! Even if you can only visualize it, do that! Then try one meal, then one meal per week and so and so forth. You can do it!!!

The 7th Planet, Mercury Rising Book Review

Gerald's new book The 7th Planet, Mercury Rising changed my life for the absolute better, and I'm not the only one!  I'll let you do your own deep dive, but in short, hope and faith were restored and a new connection was found. I finally started doing the Mer Ka Ba on a consistent basis and that combined with studying the material in my husband's book opened my mind and restored my connection to my Higher Self and the Source, the Creator of All! What more could one ask for? Have you ever read a book that as you read it you can't stop highlighting it, or underlining it and you think, this is a good one, I'll keep this one nearby. It turns out to be a book that you refer to for years to come. THIS is that kind of book. Like the Power of Now, The Secret..even dare I say The Bible, this book is a spiritual masterpiece not to be discounted. I'm so honored to be Gerald's wife and soul-mate in this path. I don't really quite understand why I'm so lucky, but rather than decode it, I'll enjoy it!! Okay so enough about me, the good news is Gerald is holding a CONFERENCE at CHICHEN ITZA in September!  Yucatan Symposium - Field Trip - Ascension - Networking - Enlightenment & More ! Read more at: https://www.geraldclark77.com/ascension-symposium.html.Taking Place: September 18 - 23, 2015.

We will be taking tours, doing guided meditations, networking and conferring all in the beautiful Yucatan, Mexico at the Fall Equinox near the sacred temples. I will be there as well and look forward to meeting you personally to those who can attend! The grounds we'll be staying on have access directly to the temples, a museum, art gallery (where we'll be conferring), spa, organic gardens with food harvested and used in their meals, a flora and fauna discovery and protection program, cooking classes and so much more! With nearby cenotes to explore, perhaps on horseback, the spirit and mind can imagine what a fun time it will be. Imagine seeing the serpent shadow and history right at your fingertips with Gerald  aside you to further enlighten your journey! I am so excited!!!

Hope to see you there, have a great weekend!

Artistic Vegan on Capricorn Radio

1/17/2015 0 Comments

Hi everyone! I'm really excited to announce I did my first radio show with James Swagger out of Ireland on Capricorn Radio. We discussed my book Meatless Mainstays for Modern Man and a Vegan/Vegetarian Lifestyle.
I usually keep comfort with my keyboard but with Gerald's tender love and support he helped me overcome a fear and do my first radio show, introduced as a husband and wife team! I love it!

Do you get nervous when you speak publicly? I meditated, took deep breaths, did my homework and got in touch with myself first before coming to the mic. I started out quite nervous and then warmed up right away with James's kind demeanor and great interviewing skills. The show was on a Friday which is funny based on my Fearless Friday posts!
The interview was a free flow of conversation so a wide variety of topics were covered. From the basics of what the difference is between vegan and vegetarian lifestyles, to conspiracy, to my husband's theory's of energy and matter and more. It was a really fun conversation and a thrilling experience! Take a peak and see if there is something in there for you!!

Garden Love

1/5/2015 0 Comments

The dirt beneath my feet, the sun on my shoulders, the breeze kissing my cheeks, the birds chirping in the distance, butterflies passing by and new blossoms on our plants. Today was a good day. It's a new week, a new year and I have a feeling it is going to be great!
Picture
I am a romantic at heart and am tickled when I find reminders of love in nature. I often find heart rocks or heart clouds but never lover veggies! These were the first carrots we ever grew and I picked them on Christmas. It was a Christmas present I'll never forget and one of my favs! TWO LOVER CARROTS! They were embracing each other as I pulled them out. I had to share the love.
Picture
The harvest is one of my favorite parts!
Picture
Tonight we had Kohlrabi Fries, Sweet and Spicy Carrots and Tofu "scampi" with Bak Choy! The Tofu "Scampi" was from Quick Fix Vegan and was delicious!!! We grew 90% of our dinner and it  such a good feeling.

There is nothing like going to Missouri, passing the Amish on their horse and buggy, getting lost on an old dirt road and ending up in an old community with heirloom gardens 'n seeds galore. Then taking those seeds years later, planting them in a transient circumstance and growing a garden with my husband. So this dinner took years to prepare but it was worth it!!!
Picture
There is something magical about prepping the land, planting seeds, having faith, water and sunshine and then magically the plants appear. Months later, harvest time! Assuming no critters, disease, lack of nurturing or too much nurturing didn't harm them. This garden has been the most fruitful garden we've had and man it's fun! With all of the GMO, nanites and more if ever possible, get heirloom seeds and plant them. :)
To a healthy vibrant life!
Christa

Our Little Garden

10/24/2014 0 Comments

Gardening is therapy for my heart and soul. First hard work is done to prepare the space, sweat, blisters, bug bites persist yet glorious hard work overcomes all bringing a great sense of joy and inner peace. As the weeds come out of the ground they also come out of my soul.
Picture
Then come the rows, carefully prepared with love hoping the hard work has paid off. Seeds are picked out, planted, covered and blessed.

Then the 3 w's:
  1. Watering
  2. Waiting
  3. Weeding

I wonder will the seeds take...will they grow. When I don't see anything I doubt for a moment and am overjoyed to find growth on a new day.
Picture
Gardening is like anything else, if you don't succeed the first time try again! I've already re-seeded a few areas and thankfully I did because now new growth is coming up. I have a few more to tend to. ;)
Picture
We planned our rows out this time.
Picture
Can you tell I am married to an engineer? He helped organize us and I learned quickly documenting it on an excel spreadsheet. Fun!
Picture
Fingers crossed what we planned actually comes to fruition!
Picture
Picture

I am hoping the garden produces so much we have plenty to share!!!
Picture
Here are some of the beauties coming up!
Picture
Do you have a garden? We hope to have a big piece of property someday, an earth ship home and a permanent garden spot but for now we are so happy to have the go-ahead to plant where we are. We've done container gardening in San Diego on our patio and it was fun to see how much we could grow. Whether big or small in a kitchen window seal or a patio growing plants brings much joy!
Picture
With love and dirt under my thumb,
Christa

Homemade Beet Powder for Beet Juice, Smoothies, Natural Make-Up and More

10/14/2014 2 Comments

Beets are a nutritional powerhouse loaded with immune boosting qualities!
Picture
Once I learned how good they were for us I couldn't help but keep some around for our smoothies. We even planted seeds for some fresh organic heirloom beets (hopefully!)

Did you know 1 tsp of beet powder is equivalent to the nutrition of 1 whole beet???!!! I didn't! I learned about it on Instagram from @rawgrandma.  Dehydrated beets, ground into a powder can be used in smoothies, sauces, soups, treats and more adding a gorgeous color and an instant shot of health.  To make some for yourself wash and peel some beets...
Picture
Slice thin with a knife or mandolin...
Picture
Place on a dehydrator rack. I love our Excalibur, thank you baby for the gift!  Dehydrate overnight at 104-105 degrees until completely dehydrated. I let ours continue until mid-day.
Picture
Picture
Remove and grind into a fine powder. I ground ours in our coffee grinder. I will try our food processor or blender next time for a more refined powder. You can also purchase beet root powder online. :0)
Picture
Picture
I even used the beet powder as a 100% organic and raw blush and lip-gloss! Place the beet powder in a clean make-up container for powders or tap some in the lid of a jar (I chose this option) dab your brush in the powder, tap it to remove any excess chunks and apply, adding additional layers as preferred to reach a beautiful glow! For lip-gloss use a carrier oil such as coconut oil, olive oil, avocado oil, almond oil and apply to lips, rub in. Dab your finger in the powder and rub your lips together or use your finger to rub in. The moisture in the oil will unleash the color for beautiful kiss-worthy lips. Simple and pretty! I found an awesome lipgloss recipe here that I can't wait to try: http://yumuniverse.com/easy-diy-beet-powder-cream-blush/!

I hope you enjoy the health benefits of beets or even beet powder. Read more about beets and their benefits here:  https://greendetour.com/beet-juice-powder/.

Last night we enjoyed a hearty white bean and lentil soup with the last of our gluten-free biscuits. The soup made such a large batch we had some more tonight with brown rice. I used the recipe from My Whole Life: Hearty White Bean Soup and added lentils based one what we had in our kitchen. It turned out so good!
