1 Ripe Avocado (about 1 cup)
1/2 Cup Packed Fresh Basil or up to 1 cup loose
1/4 tsp Sea Salt
1/4 tsp Black Pepper
2 Tbsp Nutritional Yeast
1/2 Clove Garlic
1/4 Cup Toasted Pecans (or Pine Nuts, Walnuts)
1 Lime or Lemon - Freshly Squeezed
2 Tbsp Filtered Water
- Combine everything in a food processor or use a hand-held blender.
- Blend until completely smooth. Taste, adjust as desired.
- Use as you would use pesto.
Note: For best results, cover and refrigerate for one hour to allow the flavors to pop. Use fresh / no later than the following day. Store in the fridge, a little lime or lemon juice on top can help prevent discoloration.
