Blackberry Beetroot Juice + Giveaway

Do you juice? Or Blend? Or both? For now, we blend. Getting an extra-large dose of fruit and vegetables in your day gives you a natural source of vitamins and minerals and juicing or blending is a great way to do this!

How are you going to get in one beetroot, 3 carrots, 1 cucumber, healthy berries and ginger before breakfast? Easily with this recipe!!! We could dial into the health benefits of each of the ingredients and be blown away, for today, we'll focus on the carrot. Carrots are packed with nutrients, vitamins, particularly known for their high content of Vitamin A boasting health benefits for the eyes, they also have a large mixture of antioxidants, are good for your heart, brain, skin and more!

 Blackberry Beetroot Juice:
  • 1 Cup Cold Filtered Water
  • 3 Carrots
  • 1 Beetroot
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 2 Cups Sweet Ripe Blackberries
  • 1 Cup Frozen Strawberries
  • 1/2 Tbsp Ground Ginger or a small knob fresh

Peaceful Preparation:
  1. Wash the veggies, remove the skin from the beetroot, cucumber is optional. 
  2. Place everything in a blender, blend until liquefied, about 60 seconds on high.
  3. With a cheesecloth or similar thin material, squeeze the juice out. Patience, meditation or tree pose can be helpful here. I squeezed mine into a large basin and then poured it into two glasses. Enjoy immediately for the most nutritional value. 
 
  • Alternatively, you can pass on the water and use your juicer with fresh strawberries vs. frozen. 
  • You can place the mash in a compost or save for future recipes as a hidden ingredient. :)  
  • Note sugar 'n carbs comes from a natural source. You could have it as 4 small servings.

I drink a glass of beet juice everyday to help lower my blood pressure. I enjoy it but sometimes I put off drinking it because, well because I just want something different! The color of yours is just so inviting and the combo makes me super thirsty for this! Thanks for a refreshing alternative to just plain ol' beet juice!
