Green Juice - Jugo Verde
Ingredients
- 3 to 4 Oranges - Freshly Squeezed
- 1 1/2 Cups Spinach - stems okay!
- 1/2 Cup Cilantro - or a few sprigs
- 3/4 Cup Parsley - or a few sprigs / be generous!
- 1/2 to 1" Chunk of Ginger
- Water to fill
Instructions
- Combine the ingredients into your blender less the water.
- Use just enough water to cover the vegetables.
- Blend very well.
- Strain and serve! I like to use a small pot, pour it all through the sieve, press out the liquid and then pour the strained juice into a glass.
- Or Juice using a juicer, omit the water and enjoy!
Notes:
You can use your favorites like adding an apple, different herbs, mint is so good, passionfruit, mangoes, apples, berries, different greens, celery, cucumber, you name it! This is a rough outline.
I love to grab a big handful of spinach, a big handful of herbs and often end up with 3 cups jam packed into my blender, add ginger, orange and blend.
Add a date or two to sweeten to desired taste.
I grab a small pot, use a big sieve, and pour everything in the pot all at once then pour the strained juice into the cups. If I'm alone, I'll even have it chunky sometimes for extra fiber.
