It's a new beautiful month and a new day. I'm thankful I'm alive, breathing and here today. Are you? Starting our day with an attitude of gratitude can truly mark the measure for how the rest the day will be. I'm going to try to bring that same attitude into this month, no matter what comes my way. I may find myself crying over this weeks later saying how was I so strong? Life is funny that way. For now, I'll embrace the good vibes.
We have a choice to be happy, to be rays of light, to vibrate positivity, to live a life of integrity and to see what blessings come as a result of that. When my husband and I started to date we made a commitment to always be kind to one another. It sounds so simple, but sometimes we violate that rule that we made and nothing hurts worst than a break in our integrity with our relationship and not to mention the unkind words or actions that were had. When we act with the universal rule of treating each other the way we want to be treated, we naturally have a loving, giving and genuinely kind relationship. This morning I'm making edits on his book and he's looking into an app for me. He made breakfast, I'll make lunch! If I make a mess with dinner, he'll clean it up since I cooked. It's a matter of give and receive.
Diets or the way we eat can be that way too! Be kind to yourself. Give your body foods that will promote health and healing vs. foods that will further perpetuate an existing or oncoming illness or disease. Think of the word disease. DIS-EASE the body is not at ease! Thanks Jerry for breaking it down for us. DIS...EASE.......let's eat foods that are digested EASily with EASE and provide nutrition. If we treated our bodies the way they wanted to be treated...what would that look like? I asked myself questions like that when I was contemplating lifestyle changes.
Vegan and plant-based lifestyles also have a give and receive aspect to it. It may take a little more money or time up front to follow a vegan lifestyle or plant-based lifestyle but the gift is increased energy, better health and a reduced risk of diseases. Not to mention it helps the planet and saves innocent lives.
In my early 20's if you would have asked me if I would ever consider being vegan, I would have laughed and said no. Now in my mid to late 20's I am 100% vegan / plant-based and have never felt better. I have more energy than I know what do with at times. I do attribute a lot of this to my secret weapon: Structural Integration as well as yoga and just following a healthy lifestyle in general. I recently started a new book where I'm going to give more insight into my journey to becoming vegan with tips that helped me with significant weight loss.
This month, I urge you to try one new thing that pushes you outside of your comfort zone. Try to face it, be in the moment with it, and overcome it. That act will empower you to try more new things. I've experimented with it and have loved the results!
Fear not world, we are limitless beings and the world is ours! I really do believe we are one heart, one love, one mind. So let us come together in peace and harmony in these trying times and illuminate the world with our love and acceptance.
