Nougat
  • ½ cup dates
  • ¼ cup peanuts
  • pinch of salt
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp. of peanut butter.
Mix this together in a food processor until it moves as one unit and is nice and sticky. Mold into the shape of 6 bars, place on a pan lined with parchment paper. Freeze until set, about 30 minutes.

Caramel
  • ½ cup Soft or Soaked Dates
  • 1/3 cup Dairy Free Milk (Coconut Cream is awesome)
  • 1 tbsp. Coconut Butter
  • OPT: ½ tsp salt
Mix together in a food processor, scrape down sides, continue mixing until it is nice and thick and no lumps remain and few date skins can be seen. Spread on top of the bars. Opt to top with or fold in additional peanuts. Place in the freezer to set. About 40-60 Minutes.

Chocolate
  • 1/3 Cup Cacao
  • 3 tbsp. Coconut Oil - Melted
  • 2 T Maple Syrup
  • OR melt down chocolate on a double broiler.

Mix together in a small bowl until totally smooth. Use hot water to maintain liquid state if needed. Dunk the base of the bar in chocolate, using a fork balance the bar and with a spoon or spatula, spoon the melted chocolate over the bars until completely covered. Allow the excess chocolate to drip off.  Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, finish all of the bars and freeze for 10+ minutes until the chocolate sets. EAT!

Note: You could also try this in a pan as one unit, and then slice, yet may require more freezing time for clean cuts.
