It's available on Netflix if you haven't, I watched it when it first came out and then re-watched it on YouTube before reading this book and highly recommend it as well as the book. The book provides in depth information and research showing how a plant-based lifestyle can prevent and reverse diseases such as heart disease and cancer. It's loaded with information as well as 50 plant-based recipes that will keep your body healthy! I love learning how beneficial a plant-based lifestyle truly is and how the benefits from this lifestyle can take affect nearly immediately with noticeable affects within a few weeks. This is a great book and especially if you're enjoying it with a Turmeric Chai Tea. Enjoy my friends!
Turmeric Chai Tea (pg 279)
8-10 oz water
Loose-leaf black or herbal chai tea (see Note)
1 tsp ground turmeric
Optional: Unsweetened nondairy milk
Bring water to a boil in a kettle. Combine the tea and turmeric in a French press, and pour the boiling water over it. Let steep for 5 to 6 minutes. Pour into your favorite mug and top with some unsweetened nondairy milk for a creamy chai latte experience.
Note: Chai tea that includes black tea in it is caffeinated (due to the black tea.) It has a wonderful flavor, and great for cold winter mornings. If you don't tolerate caffeine well, or would like to enjoy this in the evening, then choose an herbal chai variety. If you cannot find loose-leaf tea near you, try an online retailer.
