My sister, Janelle Sundby, recently came to visit and made my husband and I the most delicious dinner! Doesn't that look amazing?
Her go-to summer salad, pupusas and all the fixings to go with it. It was sensational and a meal to remember. Thank you Janelle! Big hugs! I loved it so much it inspired me to make it this week for you so you can make it at home. Plus I had the pleasure of sharing it with our local fam here in Mexico and they all loved it too and were asking how to make it. So lets not delay. Get the recipe below and watch how to make it in this weeks video, now on YouTube and Facebook.
Cortido / Cabbage Slaw:
5 Cups Cabbage – Thinly Shredded
1 Red Onion – Thinly Sliced
3 Cups Carrots – Thinly Sliced
2 Tbsp Chili Powder
1 Tbsp + 1 tsp Sea Salt
1 tsp Dried Oregano
1 Cup Water
Mix the ingredients in a big bowl, massage for 5-10 minutes. Let it sit for a few hours or make the night before and refrigerate. Serve
