Ingredients:
2 Cups Dairy Free Milk (the creamier the better)
Opt: Dash Sea Salt
2 Tbsp Agave or Maple Syrup
3 Tbsp Cacao Powder
Opt: 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
Opt: Few Pieces Cacao Wafers / Dark Chocolate
Peaceful Preparation:
- Heat the dairy free milk, salt and sweetener over low heat, whisk together.
- Once hot yet not simmering or boiling, add the cacao powder, cacao wafers if using and mix until well combined. Opt to add vanilla. Taste, adjust accordingly.
- Serve hot!
- Mocha: Pour 1/3 cup strong coffee in a cup and top with the hot chocolate for a mocha.
Note: This is how I like it, you can certainly add an extra tbsp of cacao powder, more or less sweetener skip the salt, cacao wafers, use less or more vanilla, add cinnamon, ginger or cayenne. Make it how you like it! Add coconut whipped cream and chocolate sauce and/or vegan marshmallows for an extra special treat.
